Throughout her career, Barbara has consistently earned her clients’ confidence and satisfaction with excellent customer service and increased performance of their assets. She helps her clients meet their goals by increasing occupancy, reducing operating expenses, challenging real estate taxes resulting in significant savings, and successfully coordinating revisions on insurance policies to mitigate risk. She is always grateful for the repeat business from her clients.
Prior to starting her own consulting business, Mrs. Montes served as Sr. Managing Director at a publicly traded real estate investment firm for 9 years. In that capacity, she oversaw the management, leasing, construction, and accounting activities of more than seven million square feet of commercial property (office and retail) and over 10,000 multifamily units throughout the United States.
Barbara’s passion has always been property management in the multifamily sector. In a prior role as Marketing Director for over 15 years, she oversaw and coordinated all of the marketing, advertising, staff development, and training for third party fee-managed multifamily assets. Mrs. Montes customized property marketing programs for each asset, set goals for the staff, assessed property performance in comparison to budget, and provided market research and due diligence services for property acquisitions.
Mrs. Montes was responsible for the creation and implementation of national marketing programs for a residential fee-managed portfolio. For the past 15 years, she has been successfully conducting training courses for leasing staff to sharpen their closing skills which result in increased occupancy.
